🏛️Fresh Paint – Grilled Chicken | Articulate Project Space

29 January – 14 February 2016 | Articulate Project Space, Leichhardt, SydneyCurated by Melissa Maree | SCASS Project

As President of the Sydney College of the Arts Student Society (SCASS), I initiated and organised Fresh Paint – Grilled Chicken together with my team, creating an exhibition platform for recent postgraduate artists from Sydney College of the Arts.

The exhibition presented the work of ten postgraduate artists from the 2014 and 2015 cohorts and was supported by SCASS and the University of Sydney Union. It was developed as an alternative platform for postgraduate artists following the discontinuation of the annual postgraduate exhibition at SCA.

This was my first curated exhibition, marking an important early step in my curatorial practice. Working collaboratively with the SCASS team and participating artists, I helped develop and coordinate the exhibition at Articulate Project Space, bringing together diverse artistic practices within an independent artist-run context.
